We are moving to Maryland in January, so I decided to start a blog to keep in touch with everyone. I have entitled it The Beloved Family because our last name, David, means beloved and we feel and see the love of God working in our lives. For the past five months we have had the priveledge of living in the David's (my in-laws) beautiful home in Fayetteville, GA. We have made great memories that will be cherished. Most people think living with in-laws would be a drag, but I think it is because too many people go into that situation with a negative preconcieved idea of what "living with the in-laws" is, and usually it is something of being unappreciative which allows bitterness to take root. First, living with in-laws means you are blessed enough to have family who will take you in while you and your family is in transition. Next, it means you have the opportunity to really get to know them. People are the most interesting subjects in all the world. We have been able to talk over dinner and learn about what it was like growing up in Egypt as a Christian, in a different era, culture etc. It has been enlightening and enjoyable to hear the different experiences they (my in-laws have had). Secondly, There is so much wisdom in age (well, not for all folks, but at least with my in-laws)...
to be continued later. Gotta run some errands and go for a run (I'm training for a Marathon and I'm in a time crunch).
